We had a busy, awesome week of learning!
We said good-bye to Evie. She is moving to another school and new home. We will miss her. Dates and things to remember: Please send a jacket to school with your child. We go outside every day even for a few minutes and some days are very chilly. Also, please send a healthy snack every day. Library on Monday-please return books December 5-21--holiday tradition report. We have had some wonderful traditions shared and awesome props like cookies, trees, ornaments, measuring cups, pictures, hats, wreaths, menorahs, and great reports typed my the students and note cards too! Really excellent job! Standards to learn next week: Math: explore with graphing and surveys. Please continue to ask your child the time on an analog clock. Please practice math facts over the break if your child has not brought home a successful Z paper. Reading: know with fluency rhythm within poems and continue with informational text and main ideas. Please have your child continue to read over the break. Reading is a great habit for every day! Writing: apply nonfiction in writing and research a topic and type it. Language: Phonics-unit 16 and identify and use possessive nouns and contractions in sentences. Social Studies: how we allocate/ goods and services Science/Health: knowing healthy things for us and aware of unhealthy. We had lessons with Mrs. Dean about coding. If your child has access to a computer the website is www.code.org No password is required. Keep smiling and have a great week!
