Dates to remember: Gifted Eligibility Process Informational Meeting Tritt’s Target Team will hold our annual Gifted Eligibility Process Informational Meeting on Thursday, September 1st, at 6:00 p.m. in the ILC. We will explain Cobb County’s eligibility process and criteria for the gifted program. If you are wondering about this process and how it relates to your child or have specific questions, please plan to join us on September 1st! September 5th: no school September 20th at 4:30 Staff Kickball game at Walton High School against Mt. Bethel To raise money to kick cancer! Standards to learn next week: Math: add and subtract within 20, counting on, making 10 Reading: story structure and retell after reading with beginning, middle & end Writing: personal narrative and using the 5 w’s and how Language: Phonic-unit 3, long and short one syllable words Science: exploring matter STEM project Thank you to Adrian’s mom for the birthday treat. Ask your child about the STEM project using graham crackers, pretzel sticks and marshmallows for place value. Ask your child about schema. Standards to learn next week: Math: read and write numbers to 1,000 Reading: Questions during reading, retell after reading with beginning, middle & end Writing: personal narrative Language: Phonic-unit 2, long and short one syllable words Science: exploring matter Thank you to Evie’s mom for the birthday treat. Please remember: Picture Day on Wednesday, August 24th. If you are purchasing pictures, return the envelope. Keep smiling! Please check the list of names with emails I gave you at Open House. If yours is not correct, please me an email note so I have your correct email address. I have sent a test email to the class and a couple bounced back.
